Narrow House

Area : 120 Sq mt.

Designing this house was a challenge, due to the small size of the plot (9 x 19.5) which allows for a narrow build able area.  We decided to open up the living area toward the northward side. The openings along two longer sides were planned to keep connection between the indoor and outdoor spaces. All the built-in functions are extended 2 feet out on the external side to have less internal furniture clutter and maintain a hassle free circulation. The open kitchen has an outdoor utility and storage along the external side. The house has spillover spaces for alfresco dining with an outdoor open bar and a plunge pool. Single flight staircase connects to the upper floor private areas. The roof of the house is a semicircular vault, which allows a larger spatial volume, natural light and ventilation in the house.
