Micro housing - People's tower

Peoples tower could be a new way to look at our residential spaces in a post pandemic times to come. Lower story structure with self sustaining facilities. It is an inclusive residential model. As all of us know, that micro housing in cities is need of an hour. This 350sq ft layout is inspired by the Chawls of Mumbai. People from chawls live in compact spaces multi-using most of the areas as per daily activities. We have designed this layout for a family of 4, considering daily activities rather than dedicating each room for individual activity. There are 5 units on each floor of 350 sq.ft each. The entrance of the house segregates the toilet and bath, which can be used separately during the morning rush hours of the day. The kitchen is placed along the side wall while the living area is under the arched recycled brick vault. The adjacent reading area can also be converted to bedroom with sliding partitions along the wardrobe. Adaptable furniture according to the activity of the day can increase the efficiency of the space used.
